How to make 5-minute vegan hot chocolate

Can vegans have hot chocolate?

Of course they can! This is the recipe you'll need to get you started.

Hot chocolate is one of life's most cherished luxuries. It warms us from the inside out. Buying a hot chocolate mix is easy, but making a vegan version yourself takes the experience up a notch. It's such a nice activity to do at night before bed, or just because you feel like it!

Which is the best mylk to use for hot chocolate?

One Good mylk is all you need in this recipe. You can use either the original or sugar-free variety. Either way, you're using the creamiest blend of cashews, oats, and barnyard millets. Our mylk has the most neutral taste without the curdling, so it'll work great for any hot drink.

In this easy recipe, we suggest adding some chopped mint leaves to your drink. If you haven't tried this flavourful combination, now might be your opportunity.

Share this blog with hot chocolate fans to show them how it can be made vegan!

Ingredients:

  • 200 ml of One Good Mylk

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsp of dairy-free chocolate syrup or 2 tbsp of dairy-free chocolate, chopped into small pieces (use one of them, whichever is available)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • Mint leaves, chopped (optional)

Procedure:

  • Take 200 ml of One Good Mylk in a small saucepan and mix in the cocoa powder.

  • Set the saucepan over medium-high heat and add in the dairy-free chocolate syrup or dairy-free chocolate and the sugar; keep whisking the mixture to ensure that it is mixed together.

  • Add chopped mint leaves into the mixture and let it simmer.

  • Once everything has melted (it should take around 5 mins), strain the mylk and serve your hot chocolate in a cozy mug.
